Department Description

The Braintree Planning and Community Development office serves as staff for the various programs and initiatives for the Town’s economic development and retention efforts.  Located at the confluence of Route 93/128 and Route 3, Braintree offers businesses a key location for accessibility to the City of Boston and Logan International Airport.  In addition Braintree is accessible by public transportation via the Mass Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) red line transit and the Middleborough and Greenbush commuter rail lines.  

Braintree also has a number of professional office parks, a regional shopping center, manufacturing/commercial parks and three distinct Town centers that provide opportunities for small business establishments and a pedestrian friendly atmosphere.  Braintree is unique in that it provides a wide variety of opportunities for new businesses considering relocation to the Town but also for the existing business in Braintree the opportunity to expand.  Braintree offers something for everyone.
