Volunteer InformationBraintree Council on Aging Braintree Senior Citizen Municipal Service Program For the past four years, Braintree seniors have been fortunate to benefit from a program implemented to assist those 60 years or older with their property tax burden, while in turn they contribute knowledge and experience to the town’s varied departments. Managed by staff at the COA, the program is designed to assist homeowners with the greatest financial need, while matching skills and experience to the position which is requested. The senior can work a total of 94 hours yearly at $8.00/hour for a maximum $750.00 towards their real estate tax bill. There is currently a waiting list for job placement.
