Emergency Preparedness in the Town of Braintree

The Town of Braintree has and continues to take steps to prevent,
prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters in Braintree.

Emergency preparedness in Braintree is a concerted effort between Town Officials, the Health Department, Braintree Emergency Management Agency (BEMA), Fire Department, Police Department and Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) to provide the following:

• Plans for effective response to all hazards, disasters and threats;
• To ensure training of emergency personnel to protect the public;
• To provide information to residents;
• To assist individuals, families and businesses to mitigate against, prepare for and recover from emergencies, both natural and manmade.
