Departmental Hours of Operation:
Office hours: Monday through Friday open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m.
(Hours of field services coincide with the schedules of Town-hired contractors.)

Department Description:
The Engineering Division is engaged for the most part in planning, designing, administering and answering questions on the various Town-funded water, sewer, drainage and roadway improvement projects, on finding ways to get additional work done, and on improving efficiencies through Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), etc.
Assisting other DPW Divisions and Town Departments with their daily work and with special projects utilizes the next largest block of our time.
For the remainder, we assist patrons with inquiries regarding pending public or private projects, flood insurance, zoning of parcels, traffic controls, property line records, town land, building numbers, abutters’ lists, drainage and a multitude of other subjects.
