Office of the Town ClerkBRAINTREE TOWN CLERK PROFILEThe Office of the Town Clerk is located on the main level of Town Hall and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. The Town Clerk is responsible for recording the vital events that occur in the Town of Braintree. Vital events include births, deaths, and marriages. Marriage licenses and certified copies of vital records are issued by the Town Clerk’s office. The Town census is compiled in this office and is reflected in the Resident Book. The Town Clerk is responsible for voter registration and conducting all Elections. The Town Clerk’s office licenses dogs; issues business certificates; is the keeper of various records from all Town departments; issues raffle permits and passports.
